International Movie Star, Environmentalist and Sauna Enthusiast, Jasper Pääkkönen

We are back with our second season of Kivia: The Spirit of Sauna, and things are really heating up!

Helping to kick off season two, all the way from Helsinki Finland is our very special guest, award-winning, internationally acclaimed actor, conservationist, environmentalist, entrepreneur, fly fisherman, and sauna enthusiast, Jasper Pääkkönen.

You can catch Jasper playing the role of Halfdan the Black in the historical drama Vikings, or starring in Spike Lee’s Academy Award Winning film, The Blackkklansman, or as we will learn, you could bump into him fly fishing or enjoying the Löyly at a public sauna near you…

Jasper has recently opened Löyly Helsinki, a stunning eco-friendly public sauna in the capital of Finland.  The structure itself is a thing of beauty designed to compliment the shores of the Baltic sea on which it is perched.  Within the FSC certified structure, are stunning wood-burning saunas,  a restaurant offering responsibly fished dishes, a rooftop terrace overlooking the breathtaking horizon, and a cozy fireplace lounge.

As a passionate conservationist and environmentalist, Jasper went above and beyond to ensure Löyly Helsinki became recognized as the new standard in eco-conscious design and materials.  See for yourself by visiting loylihelsinki.fi, or on Instagram @loylyhelsinki.

It’s no wonder that Time Magazine named Löyly Helsinki one of the 100 greatest places in the world!

Now, for the fans and the movie buffs who want to know …
